Raus aus dem Keller, Frankfurt

Raus aus dem Keller, Frankfurt

Established in Frankfurt Altstadt near the Zeil, Raus aus dem Keller (Getting out of the basement) is a daily underground flea market that caters to bargain hunters who seek both junk and collectibles. For a small fee, anyone can rent a shelf space here to display items they no longer use or need but hesitate to toss away. During their rental period, these items are available for sale, with the hope that the right customer will stumble upon that special piece. Whether it's vintage tech gadgets, bags, clothing, books, DVDs, jewelry, or kitchenware, you'll find a wide array of items here.

Perusing the sales rooms is a delightful experience. Admittedly, there's a fair share of clutter, just like any flea market. While some may dismiss small porcelain figurines as kitsch, others might be thrilled to discover them, giving these figurines a new home and owner. What most people see as an old telephone socket collecting dust could be a sought-after item for hobbyists. This unpredictability is what makes browsing here so exhilarating and, at times, quite amusing.

"Getting out of the basement" offers an excellent opportunity to declutter and possibly make a few euros in the process. It's also a fantastic place to hunt for unique gifts, indulge in nostalgia, or search for bargains. A must-visit destination for flea market enthusiasts!
