Restaurant Moon, set nearly 100 metres above ground inside the A’DAM Toren, turns a dinner reservation into a slow, deliberate journey through the city skyline. The elevator ride to the 19th floor sets the tone, but it’s when the doors open onto a full 360-degree panorama that the experience truly begins. The interior stays intentionally restrained, allowing the view to take centre stage as the restaurant completes a full rotation in about 70 minutes, revealing Amsterdam, the IJ, and the wider surroundings in a continuous, unhurried sweep.

The spectacle outside the windows is matched by what arrives at the table. Moon’s kitchen focuses on modern, seasonal fine dining built around carefully sourced national ingredients, resulting in dishes with a clear, individual signature. Opting for the “Full Moon” menu brings a seven-course progression that feels both playful and precise, designed to unfold at the same measured pace as the revolving room itself. Wine pairings are handled with equal care by the in-house sommeliers, ensuring each course is matched with a thoughtful selection that complements rather than competes.

Dessert adds a final, imaginative layer: each one is inspired by a musical guest chef responding to a single question—how does the moon taste? The answer changes, but the result consistently leans toward the unexpected. Moon also reflects the rhythm of its surroundings in Amsterdam-Noord, adapting its offering during major events such as the Amsterdam Dance Event, when special menus are paired with resident DJs from the A’DAM Tower.
