Biercafe Doerak, Delft

Biercafe Doerak, Delft

Nestled in the heart of Delft’s historic center, Biercafé Doerak occupies a charming canal-side location on Vrouw Juttenland, offering both an inviting terrace with waterside views and a warm, airy “bruine café” interior enhanced by large windows. With 12 rotating taps-of which about seven change regularly-and an impressive collection of around 170 bottled beers, Doerak caters to both traditional Belgian beer aficionados and lovers of new-style brews like IPAs and imperial stouts from the Netherlands, the U.S., and Scotland.

Founded in 2006 by Marijke Vuik-then a TU Delft student-Doerak has grown into a beloved local hub. Vuik’s vision transformed a former vegetarian restaurant into a vibrant pub that now forms the cornerstone of Delft’s craft-beer scene alongside ventures like Het Klooster and the Flink Gegist beer shop.

For tourists exploring Delft, Doerak combines a scenic location, broad beer selection, and friendly vibe-an ideal stop to ease into the evening after sightseeing or to mingle with locals at the end of a canal-side stroll.
