Led by Hartshorne Plunkard Architects, the renovation preserved the grand lobbies and their elaborate details while introducing modern touches. Interior architects Roman + Williams infused the hotel with contemporary design elements, paying homage to the building’s athletic heritage. Features like old squash court flooring in the high-speed elevators and pommel horse-shaped benches in guest rooms celebrate the building’s storied past.
