Florida Mall, Orlando

Florida Mall, Orlando

The Florida Mall, a huge indoor shopping center, is situated just south of Orlando in a part of Orange County that's not within a city's limits. You'll find it at the intersection of Orange Blossom Trail and Sand Lake Road. It first opened its doors in 1986. With more than 250 shops in a space of around 1.7 million square feet, it's the biggest mall in the Central Florida region. The mall, spread over a single floor, includes major stores like Dillard's, Macy's, JCPenney, Sears, Dick's Sporting Goods, and the Crayola Experience. There's also The Florida Hotel & Conference Center connected to it, offering 511 rooms.

This mall isn't just about shopping; it houses unique stores and fun spots, including the only American Girl and Disney Store in Orlando. For food, there's no shortage of options - from 25 fast-food joints to 8 sit-down restaurants. Plus, there's a massive 105,000-square-foot dining area with 25 eateries. Shoppers also get conveniences like valet parking, currency exchange, and a place to store packages and bags.

Annually, the Florida Mall draws over 20 million people, both from within the U.S. and abroad, making it a significant attraction in the Orlando area.
