Forte das Cinco Pontas & Museu da Cidade do Recife, Recife (must see)
Forte das Cinco Pontas was built in 1630 by Dutch and it is the place where the Dutch finally surrendered before they were expelled from Brazil in 1654. Now the fort houses the Recife City Museum (Museu da Cidade). It has a great collection of memorabilia, documents, maps, photographs and other objects from different places and times that show the history of the city.
