Teleferico de Puebla, Puebla
The Teleférico de Puebla offers a short aerial ride over the Los Fuertes area, with broad views of hills, parks, monuments, and nearby neighbourhoods. Opened in January 2016 after delays, the cable car is shorter than first planned: an early route of nearly two kilometres toward the historic centre was redesigned after legal disputes and heritage concerns.
Its engineering is part of the attraction. The line runs for about 688 metres between two terminal towers, using two Swiss-engineered cabins that can carry up to 35 passengers each. The ride usually takes between three and five minutes, giving it the character of a compact scenic experience rather than a transport system.
From the cabins, passengers can see the forts area, nearby museums, green spaces, and, on clear days, the Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes. One notable sight below is the large urban mural across Xanenetla, formed from painted rooftops and façades. The route also links two historically charged points in the Los Fuertes zone, including the area associated with General Ignacio Zaragoza and the Battle of Puebla of 1862.

The city of Puebla is the capital of the state of Puebla and the fourth largest city in Mexico.
