A Quick Tri City Tour of the Polish Riviera, Gdynia, Poland (B)

When people think of Poland, beaches probably aren’t the first thing that comes to mind. Quaint historical centres and hearty pieorgi sure, but sun and sand? Seems unlikely. Which is why the Polish Riviera is such a welcome surprise to those who visit Poland’s north coast. Sure, it may be no French or Italian Riviera in terms of sun and luxury, but the Polish Riviera isn’t without its charms. But there’s another nickname for this region as well – the Tri City – and a Tri City tour is something I’d highly recommend for your next Poland trip.

Made up of the neighbouring cities of Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia, the Tri-City metropolitan area is a fantastic place in which to travel. It combines historical character with inviting beaches and seaside in a way that can keep you thoroughly entertained for days. I’d argue that you need at least three days to explore the Tri City, based on my two trips to the region.
