I have been living in Dublin for over ten years and for more than half of this time, I have been here with my children. The Rabbit and the Bear, as I call them, are now respectively 3 and 5 and together we always try to explore our city with the same curiosity we show for far away places: sometimes we go into town for a walk, sometimes we visit museums, some other times we just go to the park and stop for lunch out. Over the course of the years, we have discovered together many sights and found things to do in town, and now I believe the time has come to put them into a mini guide for parents. So here it comes, my mini guide for families visiting Dublin with children

A walk in the city centre. Dublin city centre can be easily visited on foot and if you have even just one day in town, you are likely to be able to see most of the main city landmarks this way. My favourite part of town to visit with kids is the area around St Stephens Green and Grafton street. A pedestrianised, busy shopping street, Grafton street crosses the town centre from south to north and can be used as your main bearings to navigate the city: my kids love this street as there are many shops, buskers and street performers that make for great entertainment. From Irish classics played by the music students of Trinity College to modern bands and circus performers, Grafton street is almost an open air theatre! ......
