Antique Hunting Walk around Ravnsborggade (Self Guided), Copenhagen

Whether you have lots or little to spend, find intriguing antiques in Ravnsborggad in the Nørrebro district. There are no fewer than 35 stores here and they cater for all budgets. During the summer months, many of these shops spill out onto the street, setting up stalls filled with lots more antique treasures. The shops feature ceramics, paintings, silverware, 18th-century glassware and at least three centuries worth of furniture pieces. The variety and quality of the antique pieces are truly impressive.

Rummage through trunks, shelves and boxes that are packed with interesting items. Don't just restrict your antique buying trip to Ravnsborggade, because some of the nearby streets, such as Sankt Hans Gade and Sortedam Dossering also house a number of antique stores. They include secondhand bric a brac stores and upmarket dealers. There are more opportunities to find what you're looking for at the Sunday market, which is held from March to November. For some quality downtime and a relaxing break from your antique hunting trip, visit the nearby Lakes. These are three lakes where you can stroll by the waterfront and sit on a bench gazing into the water. If you are really feeling energetic, you can cycle through this beautiful area.
