ARES Tower, Vienna

The Ares Tower is a tall office building located in Vienna's 22nd district, known as Donaustadt. It was constructed between 1999 and 2001 in the Donau City area, following the architectural designs of Heinz Neumann. Like other structures in the Danube City complex, it took its name from a mythological character, specifically the Greek god of war, Ares.

This building stands at approximately 100 meters in height, making it one of Vienna's tallest structures. It was finished in the summer of 2001, nearly simultaneously with the completion of Tech Gate Vienna. The Ares Tower boasts a total floor area of 61,000 square meters, of which around 40,000 square meters are available for rent, spread across 26 floors.

To address the issue of strong winds on the ground, particularly on the Danube Plate, which were caused by the building and made conditions uncomfortable for people, tall bamboo plants were later planted in troughs. Subsequent buildings, such as the neighboring DC Towers, took wind patterns into consideration during their planning and design phases.
