Blindside, situated in Naarm, Melbourne, is a prominent platform dedicated to fostering fresh and thought-provoking discussions, contemporary art, and innovative ideas. Established as an artist-run initiative in 2004, Blindside places a strong emphasis on promoting diverse programming, offering paid opportunities to artists, fostering critical exchange, facilitating artist-led growth, and cultivating collaborations with other organizations. In 2004, Renai Grace, Pip Haydon, Simon Koger, and Christine Morrow established Blindside to create a platform for local and out-of-state artists, writers, and curators to engage in meaningful dialogues and creative exchanges. Over the years, Blindside has consistently expanded its reach through various initiatives, projects, and collaborations, contributing to the professional development of numerous artists, writers, and curators on both local and international levels.

Through its annual proposal-based program and Blindside-led project series, the organization provides essential support and opportunities for artists, writers, and curators during crucial stages of their creative and professional journeys.
