Coastland Center, Naples

Coastland Center, Naples

Coastland Center is a major shopping mall in Naples, offering a blend of retail, dining, and entertainment options. Since its opening in 1976, the mall has been a key commercial destination in the area. It features Macy's, JCPenney, and Dillard's as its anchor stores, along with a wide range of specialty retailers. A food court, considered the heart of the mall, provides visitors with various dining options.

Coastland Center originally opened with Sears and Maas Brothers, the latter debuting on February 3, 1977. The mall's first section opened in September, with Sears launching on July 27. A 1985 expansion added JCPenney and Robinson’s of Florida, though Robinson’s was replaced by Maison Blanche in 1987, which later became Dillard’s in 1991. Maas Brothers rebranded as Burdines in 1991, then Burdines-Macy’s in 2004, and finally Macy’s in 2005. A 1995–1996 expansion added a second floor for Sears and Burdines, a new Dillard’s, an upgraded food court, and additional parking.

The mall underwent further modernization in 2006, followed by a major transition in 2018 when Sears closed, leading to the demolition of its store. The space was redeveloped into CMX CinéBistro, which opened in October 2021, and later complemented by Uncle Julio’s restaurant in 2022 and Twin Peaks in 2023.

Strategically positioned in the commercial heart of Naples, Coastland Center attracts both residents and visitors. It is the only enclosed regional shopping center in the area, conveniently located near Interstate 75. The mall continues to evolve, offering an engaging shopping experience with brands like The Cheesecake Factory, Forever 21, H&M, Old Navy, and Orangetheory Fitness, as well as family-friendly attractions like the Everglades Adventure soft play area and Naples’ only carousel.
