Revs Institute, Naples

A paradise for automotive enthusiasts, the Revs Institute in Naples, is more than just a museum-it’s an immersive journey into the profound impact of the automobile on society. Housing the Miles Collier Collections, the institute boasts over 100 historically significant automobiles built between 1896 and 1995, offering a unique perspective on the evolution of automotive culture throughout the 20th century.

As a nonprofit organization, Revs Institute is dedicated to automotive history, research, and education. It is not just a place to admire vintage cars but a hub for scholars, preservationists, and connoisseurs. One of its standout features is its world-renowned automotive library, which ranks among the largest specialized collections of automotive literature, blueprints, and research materials globally. The 12,000-square-foot workshop preserves vintage machines through authentic restoration and innovative conservation methods.

Founded in 2008 by Miles Collier, the institute is deeply rooted in automotive heritage. Collier’s grandfather, Barron Collier, was a notable New York advertising mogul and real estate developer who founded Collier County, Florida. His father, C. Miles Collier, and uncle Sam Collier played key roles in establishing sports car racing in the United States. At Revs Institute, this family legacy continues with fully operational vehicles that join historic races, museum loans, and preservation projects.

The three-level museum features four sections: Porsche, showcasing iconic models; Automobility, illustrating cars’ impact on daily life; Vitesse, celebrating high-speed sports cars; and Revs, honoring racing legends. Each exhibit highlights rare vehicles, craftsmanship, and innovation. Whether you’re drawn to the roar of a classic race car engine or the sleek lines of a mid-century sports car, Revs Institute offers a one-of-a-kind automotive experience that bridges the past with the present.
