Norwegian Children’s Museum, Stavanger
Established in 2001, the Norwegian Children’s Museum was founded thanks to Per Inge Torkelsen, who donated his extensive toy collection. Some of these toys are featured in the exhibitions "Toys Tell" and "Once Upon a Time There Was a Clog."
The collection at the Norwegian Children’s Museum features around 6,000 items, including toys, objects associated with children, and items that represent childhood and children's culture in Norway, spanning from historical times to the present.
The museum preserves not only objects made for children but also those that children have played with and collected over the years. Some of these items are on display for visitors.
