Before you start this Kyoto 2 day itinerary, there are a couple of must-haves for your trip. First, head to the tourist information on the 2nd floor of the train station. Steps lead up from the bus terminal with escalators on either side. Take these and head straight ahead at the top. The tourist information is on the right-hand side, less than 100 yards from the top of the stairs. At the desk, ask for a map of the bus and subway and a city map.
