1) Fiddlers Elbow
Fiddler's Elbow is the oldest pub in town and prides itself in having the cheapest Pint in town and in being the best meeting point for both locals and tourists as it is situated in Piazza Santa Maria Novella just behind the central train station. This is a very popular Irish Oasis for tourists and students.

The Joshua Tree Pub is a 2 minute walk from the central train station. This pub is has a dark touch as the atmosphere is drawing you to U2 times and the reminders of that period are scattered all over the place. It was founded in 1997 by two Florentine friends that loved bringing people together. It attracts a young crowd and foreigners that want a little taste of home. They are known for their happy hour that stretches from 4 pm until 9 pm and also for their cheap prices, a pint of beer is only 3 euros and a half pint is only 2 euros.

Another, not to miss place, would have to be Friends, located just minutes from the famous Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti, offering free WI-FI, great snacks, sandwiches, pizzas and their specialty being Rum and Whiskey.They create a very friendly atmosphere as the name of the pub suggests and it's very popular among the locals.

One of the most vibrating and with an arty touch is the James Joyce Pub that invites you in a reminiscent décor of an old English pub. They have a library room in the back and the tables and booths are placed on multiple tires that add a really cool touch. This is the classic Irish pub, with wooden tables and Guinness posters from different time frames that serves great sandwiches, Guinness and Carlsberg beer.This is a very popular pub among the locals especially the ones from the area.

The Lion’s Fountain is a great choice for sport fans as they show important international sporting events on satellite-TV and the atmosphere is really good and exciting. It's very popular among native English speakers and it host a Karaoke Night on Thursday, a College Night on Wednesday and every Monday is Dollar Night where you have to pay your bill in dollars. The atmosphere is very exciting and fresh and both locals, tourists and students mingle together in a friendly crowd.

This is a very loud English-style pub, very close to Santa Croce, that attracts a great deal of young Florentines. It has a great selection of classical beer and they are also offering meals in true English tradition. Thursdays and Fridays are celebrated with live music and they promote themselves as being a worm place where you feel at home.

This pub prides itself with the best Guinness in town. They actually have three locations to choose from but the most popular one is near the Porcellino as the locals call it, being one of the key-symbols of Florence. Space is an issue because there is not much of it but the employees and usual customers are so friendly you soon forget about this little inconvenience.

The Dublin pub marks a historical corner of Ireland in the heart of Florence. They organize contests with prizes like caps and t-shirts based on a fidelity card. This is a typical Australian pub that changed his name recently in Bocachica and faces Santa Croce. Is usually packet with both foreigners and locals. It offers a unique experience through their beer, grilled ostrich meat and kangaroo steaks. They also have an air-conditioned back room that features sports on a big-screen TV. The only downside of this pub is that its names are confusing seeing that when they close the doors are marked with the name Australiano.
