Beverly Hills Leisure Walk (Self Guided), Los Angeles

Beverly Hills has one of the most famous zip codes in the country. This is a star-studded area where many rich, famous and celebrated people have their homes. Consequently, there are multimillion dollar mansions and villas, expensive shopping boutiques, upscale restaurants and beautiful open spaces with lush, manicured lawns.

There is also lots of good walking here, from strolling past rich Beverly Hills houses to taking in the sights of Beverly Gardens Park. This gorgeous green space features a cactus garden, a rose garden, a jogging and walking path and the iconic Beverly Hills sign. There are also numerous hundred-year-old cypress and ficus trees. A permanent collection of public art can be admired in the park’s grounds, including the Electric Fountain at the west end. The water feature is illuminated by changing patterns of light at night.

Passing through West Hollywood and downtown Beverly Hills is the South Santa Monica Boulevard, a major traffic artery that is often called Little Santa Monica Boulevard. In addition to checking out the area’s expensive shops and green public spaces, visit the Beverly Hills City Hall. The Spanish Renaissance building dates back to 1932 and is a popular local landmark that features an eight-story tower, a tiled dome and a gilded cupola.
