Holland Village Dining and Shopping (Self Guided), Singapore

Holland Village is a wonderful place to visit if you want to get away from the center of the city and its crowds, but still want to enjoy the best of what Singapore has to offer. The district is a microcosm of Singapore with all the shopping and dining options that you see elsewhere, but all in one exciting location.

Holland village is particularly popular with young Singaporeans. Simply take your time and relax over a drink in a welcoming wine bar, dine in a fancy restaurant and get your body moving to some cool bands in a live music joint. Shoppers will love hanging around the area, because of its exciting shopping opportunities. Head to the Holland Road Shopping Center for its superb mix of ethnic-inspired arts and crafts. You can also browse stores selling vintage clothing, antiques and Moroccan dinnerware.

A fun place to spend some time is Chip Bee Gardens, noted for its fashion stores, art galleries, Italian restaurants and gourmet food offerings. There are so many delicious food choices at Chip Bee that you may have trouble making up your mind. If you do not have time to see much of Singapore, Holland Village is an excellent bet, a great introduction to some of the finest things about the city-state.
